Born in Peterborough, United Kingdom, Thomas J. Sanders proudly served in the British Army from 2008 to 2012. In 2018, he and his wife made the life-changing decision to emigrate to the United States, settling in the beautiful state of Colorado with their son. They were later joined by Thomas’s two stepdaughters, and together they’ve built a strong and happy home in Chaffee County.
Shortly after arriving, Thomas began his law enforcement career with the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, working in the detention center. His dedication and leadership quickly earned him a promotion to Corporal. By the end of 2019, he was offered the opportunity to become a road deputy and soon after attended the police academy, graduating in early 2020.
Since then, Thomas has served proudly on patrol, continuing to grow and develop his skills. In 2025, he achieved a significant career milestone by earning a position on the Chaffee County Combined Tactical Team (S.W.A.T.).
When he’s not on duty, Thomas enjoys spending time at the gym, exploring Colorado’s incredible hiking trails, and cherishing moments with his family. Deeply committed to his adopted home, Thomas has worked hard to integrate himself and his family into the Chaffee County community, where they are now proud and active members.

Sergeant/SWAT Commander Chaffee County Sheriff's Office
Jesse was born and raised in Chaffee County and returned shortly after college. He has served in Law Enforcement since 2011 in many functions primarily with the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office. In 2012, he began his SWAT career as a sniper. He later moved to the point man position, team leader and now currently serves as Commander of the team. Jesse also serves the patrol division as a Sergeant and Firearms Instructor. Jesse has worked large event security, worked executive protection details and has a passion for teaching Active Shooter Response in his local communities.
He resides in Buena Vista with his wife and 3 kids.
